Job summary

The Smilist Dental is seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our Greater Boston area practice in Wellesley, MA. This full-time position supports doctors and maintains a clean, sterile, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, assisting during procedures, transporting patients, and managing tray setups. MA x-ray license required; at least 1 year of experience preferred; Dentrix experience welcome.

Qualifications

• Active MA x-ray license is required.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment and procedures.
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• Must have an active MA x-ray license
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details

• Schedule: Full Time - Monday through Friday - no weekends!
• Salary Range: $30.00-$35.00/hour - based on experience
• Location: Greater Boston Area - Wellesley, MA
