Job summary

The Smilist in Arlington, VA is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. You will support providers, prepare patients for procedures, and help maintain a clean and welcoming environment for every visit.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of Dental Assistant experience, familiarity with dental instruments and Dentrix, and strong communication skills to work well with our team and patients.

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their concerns and promoting the doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment; prepare patients and assist doctors
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain supplies in each operatory
• Other duties as assigned by management

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:

• Schedule:Full Time - 1 Saturday per month
• Salary Range:$22.00 to $25.00/hour
• Location:Arlington, VA
