Job summary

The Dental Assistant at University of Kentucky HealthCare supports high-quality dental care by assisting dentists and preparing patients and treatment areas. You will chairside assist during procedures, sterilize instruments, set up operatories, and maintain accurate patient records in Epic.

Expanded duties include coronal polishing and radiography. You will contribute to patient education, infection-control compliance, and smooth daily clinic operations through teamwork and respectful

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or eligible to obtain by transition date.
• Radiography and coronal polishing skills; familiarity with two- and four-handed dentistry.
• Steady adherence to infection-control protocols and dental office policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists chairside during procedures and prepare treatment areas.
• Sterilize instruments, set up operatories, manage supplies and records in Epic.
• Educate patients on procedures and oral hygiene; support care coordination and teamwork.
