Job summary

Centurion is seeking a PRN Dental Assistant for an opportunity at Reception Diagnostic Correctional Facility in Plainfield, Indiana. The Dental Assistant works under the supervision of the Dentist or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry within a correctional setting.

Responsibilities include preparing and sterilizing instruments, maintaining the operatory, operating radiographic equipment, and performing administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a dental assisting program or minimum six months of experience.
• Certification in Dental Radiology required.
• Expanded Duty Dental Assistant certification preferred.
• Must show/obtain PPD tuberculosis screening documentation.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.

We have partnered with Exos as our subcontractor for Dental Assistant services.We are currently seeking a PRN Dental Assistant for an opportunity at Reception Diagnostic Correctional Facility located in Plainfield, Indiana.The Dental Assistant (Indiana) works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.Essential Duties:• Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments• Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory• Operating radiographic equipment• Administrative tasks as needed• High school diploma or GED equivalent required• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or minimum six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required• Certification in Dental Radiology required• Certification as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant preferred• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background checkShift:VariedCenturion is the provider of healthcare services for the Indiana DOC.
