Position Summary:

We are seeking a Dental Assistant - Prosthodontist. The assistant works under a dentist’s supervision to prepare equipment, ready patients, and assist during procedures by passing instruments, holding suction, and anticipating needs. Responsibilities include removing sutures, processing x-rays, and taking oral impressions for crowns.

Responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of the Prosthodontist.
• Perform patient care, office, and lab duties, including chair-side assistance.
• Ensure patient comfort, prepare them for treatment, and manage dental records.
• Hand instruments, keep mouths dry, sterilize instruments, prepare trays, and instruct patients on oral health.
• Prepare materials, take x-rays, and assist with radiological procedures.
• Manage office duties: scheduling, billing, payments, and supplies.
• Assist in specialties like oral surgery, periodontics, and prosthodontics, including implantology.
• Support hygienists and manage inventory of prosthetic supplies.

Working Conditions:

• Work in a clean, well-lit environment near the dental chair.
• Use protective gear and follow safety procedures, especially with x-ray equipment.

Experience:

• Certified Dental Assistant by the ADA.
• Minimum two years of experience.
• Experience with dental implants desired.
• Reliable, team-oriented, manual dexterity skills, and current CPR certification.

Physical Requirements:

• Work in an office environment, walk frequently, lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform precise manual tasks.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range is $28-$32/hour plus a $1,500 sign-on bonus.
