Responsibilities:

• Assist the Dentist during procedures by providing hands-on support.
• Prepare work areas efficiently for patient care.
• Sterilize dental instruments.
• Develop and demonstrate x-ray films.
• Take alginate impressions and clear x-ray films.
• Document vitals, chief complaints, notes, and treatment plans in patient charts.
• Perform duties onsite at Thundermist locations.
• Use fingers and hands with dental instruments and equipment; stand for most of the day.
• Work schedule as determined by department needs; overtime including nights and weekends may be required.
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information per HIPAA and other regulations.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• X-Ray Certification (or completion within 6 months of hire)
• BLS Certification
• Computer skills for various tasks
• Good communication skills
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Ability to provide excellent patient care

Preferred:

• One year experience as a dental assistant
