Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, patient-centric environment.
• Certification in dental assisting and/or dental x-ray as required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must protect PHI and complete HIPAA training.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history for quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures in line with state practice acts.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room adhering to OSHA & CDC safety guidelines.
• Manage supplies and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve workflow.
