Job summary

West Coast Dental Services in California seeks a skilled Dental Assistant to support providers, maintain clinical efficiency, and ensure high-quality patient care within a growing DSO.

The ideal candidate will have CA DA certification, X-ray competency, CPR/BLS, and at least 1 year of experience. Strong communication and organization are essential, and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active California Dental Assistant certification as required by state law.
• X-ray certification compliant with California standards.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
• Experience with Denticon or similar dental software preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure proper sterilization of instruments.
• Assist dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Take digital X-rays in compliance with CA radiology standards.
• Chart procedures and document clinical notes accurately.
• Provide patient education on post-treatment care and oral hygiene.
• Maintain inventory and assist with ordering dental supplies.
• Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control compliance.
• Support front office when needed to enhance patient experience.
