Job summary

West Coast Dental Services is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant in California to join a growing DSO team. You will support providers in delivering patient care, maintain cleanliness, and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role emphasizes patient education, charting, and collaboration with front office, with opportunities for advancement across multiple locations. California certification and X-ray license are required.

Qualifications

• Active California Dental Assistant certification (as required by state law).
• X-ray certification (California compliant).
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
• Experience with Denticon or similar dental software preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure proper sterilization of instruments.
• Assist dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Take digital X-rays in compliance with CA radiology standards.
• Chart procedures and document clinical notes accurately.
• Provide patient education on post-treatment care and oral hygiene.
• Maintain inventory and assist with ordering dental supplies.
• Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control compliance.
• Support front office when needed to enhance patient experience.
