Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED with state-mandated certification, licensure, or registration.
• Associate degree or certificate from an accredited college or technical school, or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist to gain the patient’s commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by focusing on optimal treatment and patient concerns.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and prepare patients for treatment.
• Take x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed by the dentist.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatories per ADA guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.).
