Job summary

Oakwood Family Dental Care in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. You’ll greet patients, review health histories, obtain X-rays, and provide four-handed chairside assistance to supported dentists.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience in fast-paced, patient-centric environment
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification when required by state
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• PHI protection training and HIPAA compliance

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them throughout treatment
• Review health history to ensure quality care
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography)
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record-keeping
• Prepare treatment room following OSHA/CDC safety protocols
• Manage supplies and inventory; place and expedite orders
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems
