Cherry Creek Dental Care, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team in Shelby Township, MI. You’ll support dentists with four-handed dentistry, take x-rays, manage room prep, and help maintain patient comfort from arrival through treatment completion. This role emphasizes teamwork, patient care, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection expectations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey.
• Review patient health history for quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments.
• Provide chair-side assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and inventory; place and expedite orders.
• Support Heartland Dental systems to maximize office workflow.
