Job summary

Pusch Peak Family Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our Heartland Dental-supported team in Oro Valley, AZ. You will greet patients, review health histories, take X‑rays, and provide four‑handed chairside assistance to our dentists, while using Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.

Successful candidates will have dental assisting certification (and x-ray where required), strong communication skills, and a commitment to HIPAA and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification (state act).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI/data safeguards requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet and educate patients throughout treatment journey.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x‑rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D, digital photography).
• Provide four‑handed chairside assistance to dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and inventory; place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
