Job summary

The Chickasaw Nation Dental Clinic seeks a dedicated Full-Time Dental Assistant to join the team at the Tishomingo Health Clinic. Work hours are 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, supporting clinicians with procedures and patient care.

Responsibilities include radiographs, infection control, patient education, and data entry in the EMR, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality patient service. Training and certifications are required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• High School, GED or Equivalent.
• 1 year directly related experience (Nonessential).
• Technical School (optional).
• Completion of a dental assisting course or job training in a dental clinic is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for procedures and assists dentists during examinations and treatments.
• Takes dental x-rays ensuring diagnostic quality and safety.
• Maintains infection control including instrument sterilization and asepsis.
• Assists with scheduling referrals and managing the patient phone board.
• Inputs and documents patient data in the EMR with superbill coding and progress notes.
