Job summary

United Health Centers of the San Joaquin Valley is seeking Dental Assistants (DA) and Registered Dental Assistants (RDA) to join our health centers. Experienced DAs or new graduates are welcome; higher pay for RDAs is offered.

Our team provides positive patient experiences, supports dentists, and ensures clear communication. Duties include preparation of tools, assisting during treatment, charting findings, sterilization, and back-office organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program.
• X-ray certification required.
• Coronal Polish certification required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt dental support; promote smooth patient flow; record data accurately; maintain back office equipment and supplies.
• Ensure patients and families receive needed care when they need it; support organizational mission.
• Communicate openly with supervisor and staff; follow confidentiality rules.
• Work flexible or extended hours when necessary.
• Participate in center in-services and meetings; listen and respect others’ ideas.
