Job summary

United Health Centers of the San Joaquin Valley is seeking Dental Assistants (DA) and Registered Dental Assistants (RDA) to join our clinics. We welcome experienced DAs or new graduates, with higher pay for RDAs, to support dentists and ensure a positive patient experience.

DAs assist with tool prep, chair-side support and sterilization, while upholding safety and confidentiality. Bilingual skills are a plus, and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED is required.
• Completed training program in Dental Assisting from Accredited College is required.
• X-Ray certificate is required.
• Coronal Polish certificate is required.
• CPR Card is required.
• Possess a valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt dental support; promotes a smooth patient flow; collects and records data accurately; maintains order of the back office, equipment and supplies.
• Helps ensure patients and families get the care they need when they need it.
• Communicates openly with supervisor and staff.
• Works flexible or extended hours where necessary.
• Participates in health center in-services and meetings.
• Adheres to confidentiality rules.
