The Smilist is seeking a reliable Orthodontics Assistant to join our Amherst/West Seneca practice.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of dental assisting experience, preferably with orthodontics, and a solid knowledge of dental instruments and Dentrix. You will support doctors, prepare treatments, and help maintain a clean, welcoming clinical environment.

Qualificações

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year.
• Prior ortho experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Responsabilidades

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while addressing concerns and promoting the doctor’s strengths.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors to ensure efficient, high-quality care.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain supplies in each operatory; reorder as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Position Details

• Schedule: Part Time - Wednesday through Friday!
• Salary Range: $22.00-$26.00/hour
• Location: West Seneca and Amherst, NY
