Job summary

The Smilist Dental in Brooklyn (Greenpoint) seeks a reliable Dental Assistant to join our friendly, professional team part-time. This role supports doctors, prepares trays, maintains sterile environments, and escorts patients to the front desk, helping deliver high-quality care.

We offer competitive pay ($24-$28/hour), benefits including health/dental/vision, and opportunities for growth and continuing education. Schedule: Tue–Thu with occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment and procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; team player.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while addressing concerns.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and assist doctors.
• Escort patients to the front desk.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

We are currently seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing practice and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:

• Schedule:Part Time - Tuesday through Thursday; potential 1-2 Saturdays per month
• Salary Range:$24.00 to $28.00/hour
