Job summary

The Smilist Dental in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY is seeking a reliable, friendly Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. You will assist doctors, prepare trays, maintain a sterile operatory, and help keep patients comfortable and informed.

This part-time role offers $24.00–$28.00/hour with benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, plus opportunities for professional growth and continuing education. Schedule is Tuesday through Thursday with potential 1–2 Saturdays per month.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
