Job summary

Gentle Dental Green Valley in Henderson, NV is seeking an Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support our orthodontists during patient treatment. This full-time role requires preparing treatment rooms, taking measurements, and maintaining clinical records.

You will help with impressions, radiographs, and patient education while upholding infection control standards and delivering a welcoming, professional experience across multiple Las Vegas area offices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience.
  • Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting Program
  • Current Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS Certification
  • Strong communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist the orthodontist during patient treatment and procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments and materials are ready for patient care.
  • Take diagnostic records, including impressions, photographs, and radiographs as permitted by state regulations.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and education throughout treatment.

Travel Requirement

This position supports multiple offices throughout the Las Vegas market. Mileage reimbursement is provided for approved business travel between locations.

What You'll Do
  • Assist the orthodontist during patient treatment and procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments and materials are ready for patient care
  • Take diagnostic records, including impressions, photographs, and radiographs as permitted by state regulations
  • Provide exceptional patient care and education throughout treatment

  • Support a positive patient experience by creating a welcoming and professional environment
  • Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure efficient office operations
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience
  • Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting Program
  • Current Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications
  • Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) Certification
  • X-Ray Certification
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential, where applicable
