Job summary

The Smilist Dental in Brick Township, NJ is hiring a Dental Assistant (Ortho) to join our friendly team. You will assist orthodontists, prepare trays, maintain sterile conditions, and help patients feel at ease throughout visits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant (min. 1 year).
• Experience in orthodontics is required.
• NJ x-ray license is required.
• RDA preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment and procedures.
• Dentrix experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment and address concerns.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and assist doctors.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supply levels in each operatory.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

We are currently seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant (Ortho) to join our growing practice and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care.

Must be able to work in the following locations: Brick, Toms River, Lacey, Jackson, Englishtown.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor


• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment


• Escort patients to and from the front desk


• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed


• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year


• Prior ortho experience


• NJ x-ray license required


• RDA preferred, but not required


• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures


• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently


• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:

• Salary Range: $28.00-$32.00/hour
