Job summary

The Smilist Dental in Hoboken, NJ is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant to join our friendly, professional team. You will assist doctors, prepare treatment rooms, and help ensure a warm, welcoming patient experience.

The role requires an active NJ x-ray license and proven dental assisting experience. We offer competitive pay, health benefits, and opportunities for growth in a collaborative practice. Training on Dentrix is a plus and a Saturday option may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
• Active NJ x-ray license
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Dentrix experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while addressing concerns and promoting the doctor’s qualities
• Maintain a clean, sterile and cheerful environment; prepare patients and assist doctors
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supply levels in each operatory
• Other duties as assigned by management

We are currently seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing practice and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
• Must have an active NJ x-ray license
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:

• Schedule:Full Time - some Saturday availability required
• Salary Range:$24.00-$28.00/hour
