Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources seeks a Dental Assistant for our team to provide services at the VAMC Lake Nona Medical Center, Orlando, FL. This full-time role offers a predictable schedule (Mon-Fri, 8:00 am–4:30 pm) with paid vacation, sick leave and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401k.

The position requires CODA-accredited training, at least one year of experience, four-handed dentistry expertise, a Dental Radiological Certificate, and a current BLS/CPR

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year CODA-accredited dental assistant program.
• Minimum one year of dental assisting experience.
• Competence in four-handed dentistry and assisting with specialty procedures.
• Dental Radiological Certificate.
• Current BLS and CPR card.

Responsibilities

• Perform chairside duties in all dental specialties including prosthodontics, periodontics, surgery and endodontics.
• Receive routing patients, document care, use dental programs, and educate patients.
• Instruct and assist dental trainees in the Dental Clinic.

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team to provide services at the VAMC Lake Nona Medical Center, in Orlando Florida.

Requirements

• Dental Assistants shall have successfully completed a one (1) year dental assistant program accredited by the American Dental Association's Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
• Dental Assistants must possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a dental assistant.
• Dental Assistants shall be competent in using four-handed dentistry, assisting with specialty procedures such as oral surgery, periodontal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics and implant placement and restorations
• A Dental Radiological Certificate
• A current BLS and or/CPR card

Responsibilities

• The Dental Assistant shall perform chairside assistant duties in all phases of dentistry including but not limited to, prosthodontics, periodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery and endodontics.
• The Dental Assistant shall be responsible for receiving routing patients, recording information related to patient care, utilization of all dental programs, and providing patient with education material related to their care. Following surgical procedures, the dental assistant shall provide proper verbal and written post-op instructions.
• The Dental Assistant shall instruct, assist, and answer questions for a variety of dental trainees in the Dental Clinic.
