Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources invites a Dental Assistant to join the Daytona Beach VA Clinic in Daytona Beach, FL. The position is full-time (40 hours per week) with a predictable schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, and a full benefits package.

The ideal candidate has completed a CODA-accredited one-year dental assistant program, at least one year of experience, and is proficient in four-handed dentistry, radiology, and support for oral surgery and related procedures.

Qualifications

• CODA-accredited 1-year dental assistant program is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a dental assistant.
• Competent in four-handed dentistry and supporting general and specialty procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform chairside duties across all dental specialties including prosthodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, and endodontics.
• Receive and document patient information, and provide post-procedure instructions and educational materials.
• Instruct and assist dental trainees within the clinic.

Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team to provide services at the Daytona Beach VA Clinic in Daytona Beach, FL.

• Full-time opportunity, 40 hours per week

Requirements:

• Dental Assistants shall have successfully completed a one (1) year dental assistant program accredited by the American Dental Association's Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
• Dental Assistants must possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a dental assistant.
• Dental Assistants shall be competent in using four-handed dentistry, assisting with specialty procedures such as oral surgery, periodontal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics and implant placement and restorations
• A Dental Radiological Certificate
• A current BLS and or/CPR card

Responsibilities:

• The Dental Assistant shall perform chairside assistant duties in all phases of dentistry including but not limited to, prosthodontics, periodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery and endodontics.
• The Dental Assistant shall be responsible for receiving routing patients, recording information related to patient care, utilization of all dental programs, and providing patient with education material related to their care. Following surgical procedures, the dental assistant shall provide proper verbal and written post-op instructions.
• The Dental Assistant shall instruct, assist, and answer questions for a variety of dental trainees in the Dental Clinic.
