Familia Dental's Midland office is seeking dedicated candidates to join our team as Dental Assistants. We provide on-the-job training, so certification is not required to be hired as a DA.

You will support the clinical team, take patient histories and vital signs, and help deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced, compassionate environment. We value patient-focused teamwork and offer benefits and a pathway for growth within the practice.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer/patient service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Basic computer knowledge with dental management software (Denticon preferred).
• Able to work in fast paced, patient-focused environment.
• Detail oriented and able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Meet state requirements for DA duties, BLS, CPR, and radiography.
• Dental assisting experience is preferred, but not required.
• Experience in healthcare or related field strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and escort patient professionally from reception to treatment areas.
• Ensure treatment rooms are stocked with inventory and re-order when necessary.
• Take and record patient medical and dental histories and vital signs.
• Document/chart dental procedures per Dentist’s instructions and legal requirements.
• Take and develop dental diagnostic X-rays.
• Pour and base diagnostic models and fabricate temporary restorations as allowed by state law.
• Sterilize/disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, and assist Dentist during procedures.
• Provide dental education to patients on oral health and hygiene.
• Notify Office Manager of equipment trouble or safety concerns.
• Attend and participate in morning huddles, chart reviews and office meetings.
• Recognize and be sensitive to patients' emotions.
• Follow company policies and state/federal laws.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
