Job summary

Familia Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant for our Espanola, NM office. No certification required; on-the-job training provided to help you succeed in delivering quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

You will support the clinical team, manage patient flow, take histories, and assist with x-rays and procedure setups while upholding our values of quality, honesty, and care in the community.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
• Basic computer knowledge; Denticon experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and escort patients in a professional and friendly manner.
• Ensure treatment rooms are stocked and ready for procedures.
• Take and record patient medical and dental histories and vital signs.
• Document dental procedures per Dentist’s instructions and legal requirements.
• Take and develop dental diagnostic x-rays.
• Sterilize instruments and assist during procedures.
• Provide dental education to patients on oral health.
