Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join a busy Raleigh office. You will greet patients, assist clinicians with four-handed dentistry, and ensure patient comfort while maintaining high standards of care.

You’ll work with Dentrix, support ongoing education, and contribute to a positive patient experience. No evenings or weekends; a collaborative team environment and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification (as required by state).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history for quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) per state act.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment room following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supply and inventory and place orders.
• Collaborate to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow.
