Job summary

Augusta University's Dental College of Georgia seeks a Dental Assistant to support students, residents, and faculty across emergency, restorative, and specialty procedures. You will work in a fast-paced clinical environment, maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include operator y preparation, radiographs, infection control, and coordination with Central Sterilization to ensure smooth daily operations for patient care and teaching activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related experience.
• Certified Dental Assistant or higher preferred.
• Experience in chairside assisting in multiple dental disciplines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist dental students, residents and faculty in emergency, restorative, prosthodontics, periodontics, endodontics and/or oral surgery services.
• Participate in four‑handed dentistry, providing chairside support with air, water, suction, and instrumentation.
• Assist in managing challenging clinical situations and apprehensive patients.
• Prepare, package, and maintain instruments; ensure sterile technique and infection control.
• Operate radiographic equipment and process radiographs; document in EHR.
