Job summary

The Dental Center of Granger is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our clinical team in Granger, Indiana. You will support dentists during procedures, prepare treatment rooms, and help maintain patient comfort and care in a team-focused practice.

Qualifications

• One year on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation).
• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant - preferred.
• X-Ray certification.
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.
• Dental Assistants are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Help the dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
