Job summary

Garden Grove Modern Dentistry in Garden Grove, CA is seeking a Dental Assistant Trainee to grow with our team. Learn basic dental assisting under the supervision of a licensed dentist, support the patient experience, and master infection control and radiography as state requirements allow.

Customer services experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Learn and perform basic dental assisting functions under direct supervision of a licensed dentist.
Support the Perfect Patient Experience by keeping patients comfortable and informed.
Learn infection control procedures for sterilization and operatory cleaning.
Assist with radiographs and intra-oral pictures as permitted after radiation safety requirements are met.
Prepare for patient care procedures and hand off to front desk for follow-up appointments.
Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed by the dentist.
Record patient charting and treatment notes in the digital system as directed.
