Job summary

HB Kids Dentistry and Orthodontics in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking a friendly dental assistant to learn and perform basic duties under the supervision of a licensed dentist, while delivering a positive patient experience and maintaining infection-control standards.

No prior dental experience is required; customer service experience is welcomed. The role includes benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance, CE units, PTO, tuition reimbursement, 401K, and weekend shift premium.

Qualifications

• No prior dental experience is required.
• Customer services experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform basic dental assisting functions under supervision of the licensed dentist
• Participate in Perfect Patient Experience by keeping patients focused on optimal treatment
• Learn infection control procedures for sterilization and operatory cleaning
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures after radiation safety requirements
• Prepare for patient care procedures and provide basic chairside support
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care
• Record patient charting and treatment notes in the digital chart
• Present treatment records, consents and health history to the dentist
• Maintain compliance with State and Federal regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.)
