Job summary

Affordable Dentures & Implants is seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant to join our growing Missouri team. You’ll provide chairside support and help patients through denture procedures, implants, oral surgery and removable prosthetics.

This role offers hands-on experience with in-house lab collaboration, ongoing training, and opportunities for professional growth in a fast-paced, patient-focused practice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Missouri EFDA certification in addition to X-ray certification is required.
• Strong communication and patient service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding patient care and create a welcoming, positive experience from check-in through treatment.
• Prepare operatories, instruments, equipment, and materials before each patient appointment.
• Assist dentists during denture procedures, dental implant placement, oral surgery, extractions, and prosthetic treatments.
• Take and assist with alginate denture impressions, select impression trays, and prepare wax bites under dentist direction.
• Assist with denture insertions, adjustments, relines, repairs, and other expanded duties where permitted by state law.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, denture options, implant procedures, post‑operative care, home care instructions, and financial packages.
• Obtain and document patient medical histories, treatment information, and clinical notes accurately.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with state certification requirements.
• Maintain infection prevention and sterilization standards by cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing instruments and operatories.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering clinical supplies.
• Support daily office operations, including maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment.
• Travel occasionally for training and continuing education opportunities as needed.
• Perform additional duties to support patient care and office success.
