Job summary

Benevis is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our team in a community-focused dental office. You will support clinicians, prepare patients, take required x-rays, and maintain sterilization and operatory readiness.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, with X-ray certification preferred. Bilingual Spanish is a plus. We offer competitive pay, benefits, CE reimbursement, and ongoing training to support career growth.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a senior high school or GED equivalent is required.
• X-ray certification preferred per state practices.
• Certified dental assistant credentials preferred per state practices.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus (location dependent).

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient.
• Guide parents of minors and patients through processes before treatment.
• Educate patients in oral hygiene and provide postoperative instructions.
• Prepare patient for examination and treatment.
• Take x-rays and save to patient charts (location dependent).
• Ensure hygiene bay and operatory rooms are ready for use.
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures.
• Mix amalgam, cement, pulp paste and prepare impression materials.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, chairs and rooms.
• Assist dental staff with treatment and chart documentation.
• Assist with suctioning, retractors, and suturing during procedures.
• Pour, trim and polish impression casts; fabricate custom trays.
• Adhere to regulations, standards, and programs; perform other duties.
