Job summary

Benevis is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our team in a role focused on delivering compassionate dental care to patients in a fast-paced setting. You will support licensed clinicians, prepare treatment rooms, and help educate families on oral hygiene.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, and X-ray certification is preferred. Bilingual Spanish is a plus. Comprehensive benefits and ongoing certification trainings are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively with patients and parents.
• X-ray certification preferred per state requirements.
• Dental assistant credentials preferred per state practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient.
• Guide parents of minors through our processes before treatment.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide postoperative instructions.
• Prepare patient for examination and treatment.
• Take X-rays and save to patient charts (location dependent).
• Ensure hygiene bay and operatory rooms are ready for use.
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures.
• Mix dental materials and prepare impression materials.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, chairs and rooms.
• Assist dental staff with treatment and document patient information in charts.
• Assist with suctioning, retractors, and suture cutting during procedures.
• Pour, trim and polish impression casts; fabricate custom trays.
