The incumbent will support the dentist in direct patient care, handle imaging, infection control, and instrument sterilization, while managing scheduling and patient records with HIPAA compliance. Requirements include a 1-year CODA-accredited program (or equivalent experience/education), English proficiency, and potential DANB certification.

Qualifications

• English Language Proficiency is required.
• Six months experience demonstrating ability to perform the work or familiarity with the work.
• Successful completion of a 1-year dental assistant program accredited by CODA.
• Equivalent combinations of experience and education are qualifying.
• Certification by the DANB is not required but highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist in direct patient care and perform clinical and clerical tasks independently of direct supervision.
• Expose standard and specialty dental imaging (e.g., TMJ ceph, cone beam) in traditional or digital formats.
• Maintain infection control procedures and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Assist in scheduling appointments and manage RTC orders and patient flow.
• Provide patient education and ensure HIPAA compliance and data confidentiality.
