Job summary

Bay Pines VA Healthcare System seeks a Dental Assistant to support the dental treatment team. You will assist the dentist in direct patient care, perform clinical, dental laboratory, and administrative tasks independently under supervision.

Requirements include citizenship, English proficiency, and a CODA-accredited program or equivalent experience. Radiation health and safety credentials or DA National Board certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Six months experience, or completion of a CODA-accredited dental assistant program.
• Certification in dental radiography or equivalent per VA requirements.
• Basic life support certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist in direct patient care and routine procedures.
• Perform dental laboratory tasks and administrative/clerical duties as needed.
