Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant III at the Lynnwood Dental Clinic. You will assist the dental provider in procedures across restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and more, with sterilization, radiographs, impressions, and record keeping.

Requirements include WA registration, BLS CPR, 2+ years of expanded duties experience, and strong English communication; bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Washington State Dental Assistant Registration.
• BLS CPR certification maintained throughout employment.
• Minimum two years of Expanded Duties Dental Assisting experience.
• Experience with dental record keeping and computer use.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient in English; bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Identify age-specific patient needs and assist accordingly.
• Schedule appointments and register patients in the practice management system.
• Maintain sterilization and OSHA compliance across clinic areas.

Job description

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is a Federally Qualified Health Center founded in 1978, serving diverse communities in Washington State with medical, dental, behavioral health, and other services. This posting is for a full‑time Dental Assistant III at the Lynnwood Dental Clinic.

Position Summary

Assist the dental provider in the delivery of procedures permitted by the Washington State Dental Practice Act, including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and other services. The role also includes sterilization, radiograph processing, temporary restoration placement, impression taking, model pouring and trimming, retraction cord placement, matrix band use, coronal polishing, fluoride treatments, and record keeping for MSDS, spore tests, and inventory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry technique with all required procedures.
• Identify and categorize age-specific patient needs (infant, adolescent, geriatric).
• Schedule appointments, review provider schedules in Dentrix, and register patients in Allscripts PM.
• Maintain proper sterilization methods and OSHA regulations in all clinic areas.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid Washington State Dental Assistant Registration.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification maintained throughout employment.
• Minimum two years of Expanded Duties Dental Assisting experience.
• Experience with dental record keeping and computer use.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient in English for reading, writing, and communication.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
