Job summary

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant II to support the dentist during procedures, manage treatment plans with patients, and coordinate scheduling. The role requires maintaining sterile instruments, recording patient histories and assisting with clinical workflow.

Qualifications

• DAII training or equivalent required.
• 2–5 years dental assistant experience preferred.
• CDA certification or radiology equivalency; CODA program completed is a plus.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist during dental treatment and procedures.
• Function as treatment coordinator; present treatment plans to patients.
• Schedule patient appointments around workflow and potential obstacles.
• Maintain instruments, supplies and equipment; ensure clean/sterile environment.
• Record patient health histories and manage patient flow during visits.
• Assist with patient management during procedures and post-op care.
• Perform instrument cleaning, sterilization and room sanitization.
• Prepare dental materials/equipment for scheduled treatments.
• Complete dental charting and maintain accurate records.
• Oversee inventory and ancillary duties to keep practice stocked.
