Job summary

Riccobene Dental in Downtown Riverside – Wilmington, NC 28401 is seeking a Dental Assistant II to support dentists, prepare treatment plans, schedule patients, maintain instruments, and ensure smooth patient flow during procedures.

Essential requirements include DAII training or equivalent, 2–5 years of experience, CDA certification or radiology exam completion, CPR certification (or within 30 days), and familiarity with Eaglesoft and/or Denticon; excellent communication and teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

• DAII Training or equivalent
• Preferred 2–5 years of Dental Assistant experience
• Achieved CDA certification or radiology exam via NC standards
• CPR certified or within 30 days of hire
• Ability to present clinical information to patients

Responsibilities

• Assists the dentist in providing dental treatment
• Functions as treatment coordinator and presents treatment plans
• Schedules patient appointments and coordinates care
• Maintains dental instruments, supplies and equipment
• Records patient health histories and assists during procedures
• Performs instrument cleaning, sterilization and room sanitization
• Prepares materials and equipment for scheduled treatment
• Completes dental charting and inventory management
• Adapts to different locations as needed and follows instructions
