Job summary

SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists in a busy Alaska dental clinic. You will greet patients, prepare treatment rooms, assist at chair-side with four-handed techniques, and help ensure smooth patient flow across general, pediatric, and orthodontic care.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS within 90 days, and completion of a dental assistant training program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire required.
• Certificate of Completion of a Dental Assistant Training preferred.
• Dental Assistant 2 Clinical Competency within 3 months of hire and every 3 years required.
• Indian Health Service Radiology Certification within 3 months of hire and every year required.
• Sterile Processing Competency Assessment within 6 months of hire and every year required.
• High Risk Competency within 3 months of hire and every year required.

Responsibilities

• Greet, seat and prepare patient in treatment operatory.
• Assist at chair-side using four-handed techniques.
• Travel with providers to other clinics for coverage.
• Prepare and maintain operatories, labs, sterilization areas and supplies.
• Set up for pediatric, general, orthodontic and surgical appointments.
