Job summary

SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) seeks a Lead Dental Assistant who will supervise the dental team, oversee daily clinic operations, and drive infection control and workflow improvements. You will lead staff training, onboarding, and performance evaluations to maintain high clinical standards.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive DA experience, and proficiency with dental software and EHR systems, with a commitment to patient-centered care in a busy clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of dental assisting experience, with 2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• DANB CDA preferred; radiology certificate within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day activities of dental assistants in the clinic.
• Direct weekly and monthly infection control and quality improvement activities.
• Recruit, onboard, and train new dental assistant staff.
• Develop workflow processes to improve efficiency for dental assistants.
• Complete annual performance evaluations for dental assistants under supervision.
• Record and manage DA certifications, attendance, inventory and supplies.
