Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Denton seeks a Dental Assistant II to perform both chair-side procedures and data entry, supporting dentists and hygienists in the clinic. The role emphasizes patient care, infection control, and accurate record keeping within a busy state facility.

The position requires a Registered Dental Assistant with radiology and jurisprudence knowledge; high school graduate minimum.

Qualifications

Must be a Registered Dental Assistant and registered with the Texas State Board.
High school graduate or equivalent; higher education preferred.
Preferred: Certified Dental Assistants (DANB) who are Career School graduates or qualified by experience.
Must pass jurisprudence, radiology and infection control tests.

Responsibilities

Exposes and develops radiographs as directed by Dental Director or Clinical Dentist.
Maintain updated infection control standards in the Dental Clinic.
Schedule Dental Appointments and enter data for each appointment.
Assist at chair side with dental instruments and materials for residents.
