Job summary

First Choice Community Health Centers in North Carolina is seeking a Dental Assistant II to join our team of dental professionals. Under the Dentist's supervision, you will provide chairside assistance and support the efficient operation of the clinical component of the dental center.

You will record dental findings, complete clinical charting and coding, sterilize equipment, and perform other duties as assigned to support patient care and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• DA Certification from an accredited program is required.
• CoronialPolish Certification preferred.
• 2 years experience of Dental Assisting.
• Current CPR certification.
• NC X-ray certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Chairside assisting.
• Seat and prepare patients for treatment; obtain pertinent information and assist as needed.
• Expose and develop radiographs according to standard protocols and dentist orders.
• Assist dentist during oral exams and treatments.
• Maintain dental instruments and equipment.
• Maintain infection control procedures in clinical areas.
• Maintain clinical supply inventory and ordering of monthly expendables.
• Participate in continuing education on and off site as appropriate.
• Assist with temporary restorations, matrices, bands, wedges, and rubber dam placement.
