Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers in Washington state seeks a Dental Assistant II to support the dental team across diagnostic, preventative, restorative and surgical procedures, while coordinating clinic activities and equipment maintenance. You will perform chair-side assistance, patient education, and scheduling in Dentrix and Allscripts PM, with emphasis on infection control and accurate charting.

Bilingual English/Spanish encouraged, certification-eligible, with background check and vaccines

Qualifications

• Must prevent exposure to communicable diseases through proper infection control.
• Must pass the DAII Competency Test and Practical with a minimum score of 80% or above.
• Must be registered with the Washington State Department of Health.
• Must obtain BLS CPR within 90 days of hire and maintain.
• Annual TB testing required.

Responsibilities

• Provide chair-side assistance using four-handed dentistry across procedures.
• Escort and assist patients to and from treatment rooms with courtesy.
• Communicate delays to front desk and patients.
• Perform patient education before, after, and during procedures.
• Schedule appointments in Dentrix and register patients in Allscripts PM.
• Maintain charting in Dentrix using SOAP or PARTS format.
• Assist with inventory, ordering of supplies, and equipment maintenance.
• Comply with clinic policies and participate in quality improvement activities.
