Position Summary

We are seeking an additional Dental Assistant to join our team of dental professionals. Under the supervision of the Practice Manager and dentist, the Dental Assistant will assist with oral surgery and other procedures, prepare tools and instruments, and provide chair-side assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques. Responsibilities also include recording dental findings, clinical charting, coding, and sterilizing equipment. Familiarity with standard dental concepts, practices, and procedures is required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Chairside experience in assisting dental providers during treatments
  • Preparing patients and obtaining pertinent information
  • Maintaining dental instruments and equipment
  • Cleaning and maintaining operatories and lab
  • Stocking and ordering supplies
  • Exposing and developing radiographs
  • Pouring and trimming models, fabricating trays and bite rims
  • Recording patient health histories
  • Taking dental x-rays
  • Providing oral care instructions to patients

Supervisory Responsibility

None

Education and Experience

  • DA Certification from an accredited program
  • Coronal Polish Certification (Preferred)
  • Nitrous Certification
  • Dental assisting experience (Preferred)
  • Strong computer skills with dental software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Performance Management Systems

Preferred Skills

Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills (written and verbal)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, 8 hours per day excluding breaks.
