Job description

Join to apply for the DENTAL ASSISTANT II role at Advance Community Health.

Position Summary

Advance Community Health is seeking an additional Dental Assistant to join our team. Under the supervision of the Practice Manager and dentist, the assistant helps with oral surgeries and procedures, prepares tools, provides chair-side assistance, records findings, completes charting and coding, and sterilizes equipment. Familiarity with dental concepts, practices, and procedures is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist dental providers during treatments
  • Prepare patients and obtain pertinent information
  • Maintain and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
  • Maintain dental operatories and inventory supplies
  • Expose and develop radiographs
  • Pour and trim models, fabricate trays and bite rims
  • Record patient health histories and take x-rays
  • Provide oral care instructions to patients
Education and Experience
  • DA Certification from an accredited program
  • Coronal Polish Certification (Preferred)
  • Nitrous Certification
  • Dental assisting experience (Preferred)
  • Strong computer skills including dental software, MS Word, Excel
Preferred Skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (written and verbal)
Work Environment

The environment is moderate noise; accommodations can be made for disabilities. Tasks may vary as assigned by the organization.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, 8 hours per day excluding breaks.
