Smile Programs is the nation's leading in-school dental program, founded nearly two decades ago by two moms who are also dentists. They recognized the need among underserved school-aged children who lacked access to dental care, often suffering from poor oral hygiene, tooth decay, and related health issues. The program brings dental care directly to schools, making it accessible for children whose parents face barriers like time off work or transportation challenges. Today, Smile Programs provides preventative and restorative care to approximately 500,000 children annually.
Tooth decay is the most common, preventable disease among children, surpassing asthma. Over 51 million school hours are lost each year due to oral health issues.
Our affiliates, including licensed dentists, hygienists, and assistants, use state-of-the-art portable equipment to deliver services on-site, transforming classrooms or other school venues into fully functional dental clinics for the day. Our experience and qualified staff enable us to provide exceptional care with minimal disruption to the school routine.
Currently active in 20 states, we partner with over 8,000 school districts, including 21 of the 25 largest in the country.
Given the ongoing need for access to dental care among underserved children nationwide, we are seeking caring, compassionate professionals to join our team and help make a difference.
Rewarding work. Competitive pay. Smile North Carolina.
