Job summary

Lone Peak Dental Group is seeking a Dental Assistant with orthodontic experience to join our team. You will assist clinicians in orthodontic procedures, prepare treatment rooms, take X-rays, sterilize equipment, and educate patients on oral hygiene.

This part-time position offers Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 7am-4pm with potential for full-time hours in the future, competitive wages, and a benefits package including healthcare and PTO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited dental assistant program.
• X-ray certification required.
• Orthodontic assisting experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up treatment areas for orthodontic procedures
• Support orthodontists during patient examinations and treatments
• Take and process dental X-rays
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and oral hygiene practices
• Schedule patient appointments and manage dental records
• Handle administrative tasks like billing and insurance processing
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety standards
