Dental Assistant I, II, or III – Posting #27431
Hourly Rate: $22.34 – $24.28
On‑call Dental Assistant position available for our Vancouver – Salmon Creek Dental Clinic. Candidate will assist the dental provider in the delivery of dental procedures allowed by the Washington State Dental Practice Act, including Restorative, Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery, and any other procedures permitted by the Act.
Major duties for Dental Assistants include maintaining proper records for material safety data sheets (MSDS), performing spore tests, inventorying dental supplies, assisting in training new Dental Assistants, and organizing schedules to generate checklists for maintenance of dental procedures. Candidates with prior orthodontic experience are preferred.
Must have completed a formal Dental Assistant program at a college, technical institute, or equivalent. Minimum of 6 months of work experience required. If no formal training, a minimum of 18 months work experience in a Dental Assistant position is required.
Must be knowledgeable of proper sterilization methods and OSHA regulations including QI. Able to duplicate and mount radiographs, place temporary restorations, take impressions, pour and trim models, place retraction cord, place matrix bands, perform coronal polish, and give fluoride treatments. Minimum of 2 years working experience required. If no formal training, a minimum of 3 years experience in a Dental Assistant position is required.
