Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz College of Nursing is seeking a Dental Assistant I or II (open rank) for Sheridan Health Services in southwest Denver. This full-time position supports dental care delivery across clinic sites and school-affiliated settings.

Ideal candidates will graduate from an accredited dental assisting program, be comfortable working with diverse patient populations, and have good communication skills in English (Spanish bilingual preferred).

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited dental assistant training program.
• One year of dental assistant experience may substitute for program completion.
• Ability to obtain and maintain BLS/CPR certification; weekend work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients in the dental operatories.
• Assists dentists, hygienists and other staff with patient preparation and treatment.
• Performs dental radiographs and radiographic image handling.
• Maintains dental inventory and sterilization procedures.
• Performs routine administrative tasks: EHR input, scheduling, payments, and insurance authorizations.
